Industrial Hearing Conservation

Health and Safety

Noise induced hearing loss is 100% preventable and it is our goal, through our Hearing Conservation Program, to help you eliminate the costly and damaging effects of occupational related hearing loss. We have the expertise, equipment and experience to quickly develop and implement a hearing conservation program to fit your requirements.

Hearing Conservation Services

Noise Surveys (Noise Mapping): Through noise level testing and personal dosimetery we assess the needs and applications of an industrial hearing conservation program in the work place. This testing is required under legislation and it is an important tool used to inform workers of the hazards. Proper noise documentation can also help you manage the cost of the program by including only workers with qualifying noise exposure.

Training & Awareness: Change Innovators can provide employee and management training as it relates to applications of the hearing conservation legislation, hearing protection, noise exposure control, employee compliance, hearing testing, and hearing loss awareness. All training is customized to the client and designed to ensure all stakeholders are aware of how the program affects them and the necessary precautions they are required to take if any.

Hearing Testing: This is required by legislation and is the most effective way to assess the strengths and weaknesses of the hearing conservation program.

Pre-placement testing: Hearing tests for new employees will determine hearing sensitivity before a worker starts employment. Often this testing is done as a condition of employment and can help to manage future hearing loss claims.

Annual Hearing Testing: On-site hearing testing is offered by Licensed Industrial Audiometric Technician (L.I.A.T.), and reviewed by a Clinical Audiologist (Aud(C)). The main goal is to carry out highly accurate testing while minimizing the effects on your production and bottom line. We work with each company on an individual basis to determine the best testing situation. Often production requires different shifts or multiple sites; we work and cater to all needs.

Consulting: Consulting for public speaking and conferences is available as well as one-on-one consulting.

Noise Reduction: We offer methods and procedures to reduce noise exposure. We review your work environment and production and find practical ways to ensure noise exposure reduction is optimized. This at the very least can prevent or reduce the cause of noise induced hearing loss. In some cases, with the use of noise isolation methods, we can eliminate or reduce the size of your hearing conservation program which translates into a cost savings.
